Machakos Abled Differently Rehabilitation and Vocational Centre (MARC) was established in January 2021, as a private TVET Vocational Training Centre which is sensitive to the needs of persons with disability or challenge in the society and especially the young teenagers transiting to adulthood without any skill for independent living.
MARC currently has enrolled only those with mild intellectual challenge between the ages of 12 to 18 years.
It is a step by step approach for growth to avoid too many categories of learners which may require a massive investment on training tools and manpower. MARC is just like a small baby being nurtured to greatness.
The courses are tailored to meet specific learning needs of learners through Individualized Education Program (IEP) where each child needs’ are met.
The needs could be Life Skills, Interpersonal Relationships or Specific Skill training at individual pace.
MARC as a family is motivated to do exceedingly good because we have so far impacted positively on the few trainees.

Integrate the graduates in the society.
When the trainees/graduates are competent they can be integrated in the society.
With the assistance of the family, placement is done either through:-

Starting their own business

Linking them with supportive organizations or industry where they can get jobs.

Working with MARC if there is a job opportunity.
MARC intends to grow and create a products outlet or sow room in different towns. This will create job opportunities and industrial attachment for our students.
